Apologies for not making todays ride & meet

    Hey Darren & everyone,

Sorry I wasn't able to make it to talk over the 250 Club with all of you. I ended up having heaps of study to do so didn't think I could justify a day away from the books.

I had bumped into Stew yesterday at his shop and his sentiments on the club were the same as mine. Be great to get an overview.

Mr Melon! Did ya get my text this morning??

    See yas soon, Cathy

    well the ride went great,
the speeding ticket I got on the way back wasnt that good though ( bugger bugger bugger )

we had about 20 bikes turn up some big most small it was a great day out.
we are thinking about having a ride every 2 weeks.

everyone enjoyed the trip, great fun.

LOL guess you can blame Stew for that one Darren - all his teasing about you not pushing the bike hard enough.

Thank goodness I wasn't out with you guys yesterday. Geez you had a good day for it.

Was the L plate on the back?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Hey Darren,
    Stink about the ticket! Ouch!!

So did ya come to any conclusions about how the "Club" should be run?
Someone was saying about putting money in and I know others just wanted it as a more informal thing.

    Cheers Cathy

    bugger me

well $230 fine pees me off, stupid for me for speeding really.

Anyway the direction of the club is as follow
we are keeping it to a ride meet kind of thing
no money changeing hands no formal system.

Some are wanting to blow this club right out
but there are to many issues regarding this
to deal with and I think most people would just
like it to stay the way it is.

we are looking at doing a ride every 2 weeks though
and I would like to have some sort of social event
    if possible.

kleep it fun thats what we have to work on

I will post when the next ride is soon

    Could have been worse, buddy.

Was it for 100km/h on a learners?

So did you have your L plate on? I keep forgetting (honest!!) to put mine back on since it blew off when we went up the Rimutaka's those few weekends back. And that would be 58kms over the speed limit too, ooooppppsss.

Sounds good about the club Darren - keep it simple & fun I reckon.

That's 58kms over the limit if you're on your L Plates.
You're lucky you've still got your bike and you're not behind bars.

On a seperate note, I'm keen as hell to come out for a ride with you guys but I had a wedding last weekend and was still fairly drunk on Sunday.
If it's fine this weekend, is anyone keen for a blat up the takas??? I've convinced my wife to bring her bike out this weekend so it would be cool to make the most of it.

Why not meet at the upperhutt Caltex (or nearby) at 8:30 on Sunday morning. There's usually a bunch of riders meeting then.
