Over 1000 bikes of all shapes and sizes gather in Cambridge town square from about 0900 onwards. The ride to Hamilton starts ~1100, toys for the hospital are dropped off and everyone socialises and tells lies to each other. A great day!![]()

Howdy yall,
Anybody else contemplating going to Cambridge for the CCF Toy Run.
As soon as I knock off at 6am (graveyard shift) I'll be gearing up to hit the road, hopefully before 7am.
I can pick anybody up the line who'll be going my way or will do the meetups in Camboes.

righto well I missed the Westpac run so I wouldn't mind taking the 7th out to head down to Cambridge, assuming the weather's not overly 'orrible, anyone else from Auckland thinking about going who doesn't mind a slowish ride down with me and my 25bhp? Autobahn meetup around 0800 perhaps?
I'm also on night shift & finish at 7am. I'm still contemplating whether to go or not: if I don't get any sleep, I'll be too tired to ride come 11am (read: dangerous!) but if I go home for a couple of hours kip, I'll be extremely grumpy and/or difficult to wake up for the alarm at, say, 9am-ish.Originally Posted by ching_ching

I'll decide on the day, I s'pose.
Anyone heard where it might be finishing up this year? There was a mention of a BBQ in Garden Place!!!

Yeh I heard the same thing. I've yet to email the ones who are organising it.Originally Posted by Slim

Yeah I don't mind a relaxed ride,If the liquid sun shine holds off that is.Originally Posted by jrandom
Yeah, I'll probably get along for a cruise. Its a low-speed affair of course, so I reccommend limbering up your clutch hand before you reach Cambridge. I went along last year and enjoyed the whole comraderie thing, loads of bikes in all shapes and sizes. Best part of the ride really is when it finishes giving you a chance to look round the bike-park.
