Back roads to Waiwera

Woke up to glorious sunshine this morning and decided to point the GS Northwards.
I wanted to take SH16 to Warkworth, but on the way there was a sign that pointed to Waiwera!
I think the road is called Upper Waiwera Road, metal road with a bit of loose stuff and lots of mud and puddles to fly through!
Had a spot of rain, no worries, what a great ride!

Have just put up a thread about ride. will be following the coast between port waikato and raglan. should be a good 3-4 hours down with the option of more gravel homeward bound or a squirt up SH22.
