    Blah 20 today

i know, wooopdee-doo, such a hot day, but it's completely flat at the beach so no surfing, it's to hot to wear leathers and go for a ride, so nothing to do except sit here in the sun listening to music

Went for a ride out to aramoana, damn i love that road!!! twisties all the way, you've got the harbour on one side and a bank on the other, so not much room for error, i did have one 'oh shit' moment, stopped concentrating for about 1 second going into a corner, ended up not leaning far enough, but hard on the brakes, straightened it up, managed to stay out of the harbour, it's all good, haha, also did one of the stupidist things i've ever done on a motorbike, this dick was driving along at like 25-30 in the bits where i couldn't pass (blind corners etc) then when we got onto a short straight i went to pass him, i was just past his tail gate when another car comes round the corner, so i had two options:
    1. drop back and wait to pass him later.
    2. twist the throttle further and hope to get round him
the road was wide enough and he was hugging the left, so you can guess which option i chose, so ended up lane splitting against an on coming car, on my black bike, in my full black leathers ghost rider style but believe me, if it ever happens again i'll take option 1. even though it was no where near a crash, it's just not worth the risk, it was a split second decision and a silly one, which i was kicking myself over for the rest of the ride home
