Got in to this thread a bit late to wish you well before the op. so wish you well after it. Had back trouble as a youngster spent nearly three years in hospital. Went in as a four year old had my seventh birthday a few weeks after I came out.

Mind you I had it easy.................no more shagging for you ol' son well not for some time.

    Your 'buddy'

Woohoo just got home, sporting a two inch scar on my neck but feel pretty bloody good. Doctor said 6 weeks till I'm back on the bike and normal again.
The last ten months have been punctuated by extended periods of sometimes unimaginable pain with many totally normal days in between, pain killing drugs and deteriorating mental health have taken a toll.
Your concern and messages are gratefully received, if you have been on the receiving end of my foul temper over the last couple of months in particular I apologise.
A special 'sorry' to Joni, I think you coped the worst of it.
Have a rest over xmas and will see you lot on a ride in the not to distant future

    Cool

Hey SixPackBack, good to see that you also survived the long ride home...
Going over all them bumps in the road....
Aint it amazing that really the only time you get to know where every god damn hole and bump in the road is... when you are all stitched up and just after a operation.

Rest up mate..... enjoy your xmas day with your family.
I will pop up after xmas to see you...
Take care mate.... those 6 weeks will soon be over...
and the bike is sitting there waiting for you...

Good stuff SPB - back in the saddle before you know it!

All good matey. Take care and Merry Christmas to you. I hope 2006 brings you way better health - mentally and physically - and that you get back into riding your bike really soon.

Well done mate. Get well soon.
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

The place was not the same without you. Hopefully you will never have spinal troubles again.
