As for the other four getting thorugh as dave said i remember that corner and it was pretty shit but experience helped the rest of us through. Don't blame the ride leader. this was an unofficial ride. If noob's wanna come they have to realise that there will be people going faster and slower. On the ride I spent some time following both Sam and Placid. And i can say that although thier technique needed a little work they were riding well within thier limits.

As the saying goes if you assume you make an ass out of u amd me. In this case just you.

P.S. ... *gives placid and sam thier badges*
of leearners on an unofficial ride ( your words) and then you took off - because you wanted to go faster -
WHY did you take them ???????

sounds to me like the urge to show off got too much for you and you gave up on the people you chose to take for a ride.
IF this is so you are responsible and I do blame you - you are a wanker - and I would uge others not to go on learner riders with you

Yeah crashing is not good but it's something that comes with riding a bike - I've binned twice since I started riding about 16 months ago and both those times were my own fault. I honestly believe that I learnt a lot from those two crashes and in a way glad that they occured, fortunately I was not badly injured.

Hope everything works out soon and sweet with the insurances to sort out the two bikes.

Crashing does not come with riding a bike that is bullshit - but at least you admit to being at fault which is a great thing to own up to .
Unfortuantly my insurance goes up with other peoples crashes as does yours, plus ACC levys etc. I have over 30 years on bikes and have yet to hit the road literally so it can be done. IF you think you will crash you have a good head start and a ready made excuse if you do.
Start thinking positive , read the road ahead, stay with in your limits- they will expand as your experiance does , and dont go riding with others who try to show how good they are.
I repeat my points It is not the roads fault, 2 crashes out of 6 is appalling , no excuses, can ou imagine 300, 000 vehicles a day go over the Harbour bridge - at your thinking 200,000 going home is excuseable - well it is not.
it is bullshit to say otherwise.
beware of so called newbie rides with people who get bored and ride off at speed.

They CHOSE to come along on this ride. I didn't take anybody anywhere. The learners ride was cancelled which was the only reason i went along. I wasn't showing off i was enjoying the ride. As for giving up that in itself is bullshit. We all took turns being tailend charlie while the others ranged ahead.

As for the comment about 2 out of 6 is appalling. Well sure if you look at it that way ...but if there were 8 people and those two crashed or 12 or 15 it doesn't matter how many people came if two crashed they wouldv'e crashed no matter how many people came hell if they had been riding just the 2 of them they might have both crashed anyway.

you are a troll, fuck off if you don't have anything usefull to say.

ooooo conundrum you say it's the ride leaders fault then you now say it's the people who get it wrong's fault if you gonna make an argument stick to one story.

it was not a learners ride. maybe you want to start reading. and instead of complaining about bikes crashing and your insurance and acc levies going up, why don't you get out there and start helping?

No You started by calling me a wanker....

It was going to be a learners ride.... which was then cancelled. So it ended up being just a normal ride with a couple od noob's. The only reason we refer to it as a normal ride is becuse that is what it was origionally going to be BEFORE it got CANCELLED...

Methinks you need to read the thread about the ride first aye....

    bondagebunny - what a fuck.

When people crash its their fault and theirs only. The only reason it would be someone elses fault is if they forced you off the road or into crash.

The 'leader' only shows the route, not the pace - something that is always made clear on rides.

Sometimes people do things wrong, they go to fast, they go outside their skill range, thats life. We are humans, and our brains communicate things to our bodies via chemical and electrical charges, when we are having fun they can get mixed up and you dont see the warnings properly - something that comes from experience which in many cases can be a crash.

The good thing is that *most* people learn from their experiences/mistakes. It's a personal choice and sure you have your opinion, but you seem to be a really negative person. That really sucks, did your prozac prescription run out?

Well as you have made it to 30 years of riding without a single crash I'm sure that if you posted a learners ride on here that you would have many takers.
But as you said in an earlier post you wouldn’t admit to any mistakes, so I couldn’t see you being very keen as you might get caught out.
E.g.; "Don’t do this caus I did one day and..."
I think people are getting abusive because while they where trying to help others, shit happened, and now a third party who wasn’t there is throwing it in there faces.
The path to hell is paved with good intentions but we still try and help each other out when we can.
