Well a lot of people go for the Religion but I don't. If it weren't a Christian festival then I'd still go. I have no problem with the Religious part of things but it ain't my thing. I believe in God but I don't place myself in any "man-made faith". I have been brought up a Catholic, have been to a lot of Baptist things, hang out with Presbyterians(sp?) and went to 'chute this year with Anglicans.

Aaaargh - you little mongrel!!!! MSTRS - whack him around the head for me. I heard that going for hours, every time that I semi-woke up! Actually, I wasn't too worried cause I slept through it anyway.

SPB - I can't wait to meet you mate. I want to see if you'd actually say that to my face or if you just hide behind your online persona. I tried to go and meet you at Taupo but it turned out to be another 40ish something KBer with a yellow gixxer (sorry mate - can't remember the name). Next time eh.

We found one of those big plastic things they have for barriers at concerts, roadworks and stuff like that and 2 people held it, 1 person got on it and they played rodeo.

Eventually that got boring so we were using it as a drum. The security got annoyed and took it away, so we found some wheelie bins and bottles and they took the wheelie bins away. So then we started drumming on the ground with our hands and other poeple filled up the water bottles and squirted us all(after 4 hours you get pretty hot) and then the security took our bottles off us...So we found other bottles and another tap close by because the security were blocking the one we were using.

I don't see why they took the bottles off of us because we could have been drinking them. I asked for the empty bottles back and he wouldn't give them to me. I think they were trying to hint us to shut up but it didn't work. We weren't breaking any rules, although people were probably getting REALLY annoyed.

They finally moved us to the village for the last 40 minutes. Then we had a countdown from ten, I hugged the girl next to me who was helping and being an absolute legend and on one...I'll stop here 'cause parents won't like it

Anyways...It was bloody brilliant. And hopefully it'll happen next year too!! Maybe 8 hours

It was great to fit faces to names finally and catch up. Had Jabez say hi, great to talk mate. Catch ya at the Westpak Run.
Had a great time pity that Anberlin didn't go off but Day of Fire sure rocked.
I was still catching up with friends on the last day, thats what its all about, friends and great music with seminars to challenge.

The kids at the family tenting area had huge water fights every day, they were left to it. I was impressed by their behaviour.

Fair enough - you're entitled to your opinions. But there's a fundamental difference between targeting the 'cults and religions' and the actual people involved. Most people can disagree with certain groups and what they stand for while also maintaining some level of respect and basic social skills for the individual people.

Holy Jeezuz! would you look at the banking on that curve in #2!!!
With camber like that, you could take it at about 300kmph+ maxed out in top gear ...if it wasn't for all the traffic.

Cults/Religion are the people involved without one the other would not exist.
The clearest analogy I can give that you may understand is the following:
Imagine if every time you came on your favourite biker site images of animal/human sex where displayed?......I have no respect for mindless fairy tales that has done more to hold back humanity, killed more over the last 2 thousand years than every other dispute put together. This is a biker site Velox not sunday school, leave the dribble about God to your favourite worship site.

SPB - Why are you trying to push your beliefs onto everyone else??

The biker comunity has a diverse demographic. I think its great that so many different poeple are brought to gether by a common interest, Motorcycles.

And this is the Meetings & Events (much like Rant & Rave really) section. ALL topics may be covered with impunity. If you (along with certain others on this site) don't like the subject in any given thread....then FFS DON'T READ IT!!!!!
HOW PLAIN DOES IT HAVE TO BE MADE ?????
(besides, the only one yammering on about religion is you. They are talking about the music and what they got up to for the most part)
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
