    Billy Connelly

Went to see him last night. I was a bit unsure about the show, I'd read a crap review and wondered if he'd lost it at the ripe old age of 61.
Au contraire, he was a riot. 2 3/4 hours of effing and blinding, prancing around like a teenager. Bloody hilarious.
His new theme is 'senior moments'.
He gave us heaps about Lord of the rings and Americas cup even slipped in a crack about our drivers.
He thinks that when someone overtakes us at passing lanes, we shouldn't take it personally. They're not insulting us or our cars and they don't want a race either.
Zed probably wouldn't have enjoyed him though, Billy gave religion, especially christians a major serve.
    Well worth the bucks.

You're right Lou, I wouldn't enjoy his humor...and this is what God says to people like Billy:

I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: Proverbs 1:26-29

...and I guess the fact Billy has already lived to 61 and is probably as rich as hell your mate God has really acted on his promise or Billy hasn't needed to call him huh.

... and like all good religious people when someone is in distress and anguish he will not answer. Really charitable huh.
    Cheers

Billy was quite good in a serious role in The Last Samurai. Pity he died No bikes in that movie though, usually Tom Cruise has at least 1 bike in each of his movies??

God is love, yes, but He is also a God of judgment! If a man scoffs and scorns God publicly and causes others to do the same then God must bring judgment on that man for his wrongdoing. Because God is longsuffering the executing of that judgment may not come immediately, it may be years later. Our lifetime is very short, and many aged people will testify to that, but God is not bound by time because He inhabits eternity!

I've seen quite a few movies where he has had a serious role - always very good. I think the mark of a great actor is when you forget who they really are. The only stoopid thing he ever did was that American sitcom that died a natural death. I haven't seen him live but I would love too

He was superb in Mrs Brown.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
