I wonder if God ever tires of humourless gits interpreting "His" word.
The Bible comes to us in English, via Latin and Greek from its original Aramic, and there are all sorts of people around who claim to know what it means.

How come there's no religion that preaches:

Thou shalt keep the gospel to yerself, unless asked....

Perhaps one of the resident Godbotherers could explain why God has guys on TV, dressed in Polyester Suits and bad haircuts asking for money on His behalf? Surely a truly omnipotent deity could summon up his own cash, and would have a better dress sense?

I wonder when the day will arrive when we get to have a thread WITHOUT a quote about some biblical bullshit.

What makes you think these charlatans represent the true God? Have they fooled you too?

    Really liked Billy in...

... "The Man Who Sued God"

Excellent movie that was absolutely written for him. Swore like a trogan in it but always warranted.

Quite appropriate within this thread, huh.
Someday we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Hmmm, could get into this quoting biz. Here's my contribution to the spamming:

On my planet, to rest is to rest -- to cease using energy. To me, it
is quite illogical to run up and down on green grass, using energy,
    instead of saving it.

I was only taking the p*ss Two Smoker. I'm not really a Trekkie, just seemed appropriate to preach the word of Spock within this thread once it become yet another verse of How Great Thou Art.

'Twont happen again. No more spam from Pam... err, Deb.

He was pretty good in "The Man Who Sued God" - wasn't a bad movie, but the cockatoo coming through the window at the end seemed a bit contrived
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
