Bad old apple eh, they used to be that wierdo little 5% of the market bit-part player in the CPU business. No-one had to take their translucent plastic arse seriously.
Now with music, they have an industry where they have a decent market share, they've got all uppity, wanting to own it all.

    wankers.

doesn't it cost like $300 to add a 2 gig memory stick to a PSP?
are they a good music player?
but more importantly, is it quicker/easier to put your tunes on the psp?

Good old greed. If you had shares in that company, what would you want them to do? Apple/MS bashing is fun though.

Dude thats a rotten deal, a 20G ipod is 2nd or 3rd generation model. A 30G 4th gen. will set you back $500, you'll be lucky to get $300 for a 20G on retardme and a new psp value pack will set you back $400. hmmmmm

2 gb memory stick $290 (etop parallel)
    total $680

    for a 2 gb mp3 player?
    am i missing something?
sure - it does gaming too - and pretty damn well by the looks, but as an ipod replacement?

    a 2gb ipod is like $349 isn't it?

I just converted a dozen or so CD's to MP3 thru iTunes, and it took about 10 mins per 15-20 song CD, I was quite happy with the speed, considering it's a drag and drop excercise, and and the files get converted automatically.

Good on Apple I say for making something this good (iPod), my niece has an iPod nano, and its an amazing little thing, complete with a colour lcd screen, quite exceptional.

i mean i bought the ipod in august when i when on a crasy music shoping spree, in one day i bought an ipod and 7 cds. the ipod was $400 on sale but i thought ild use it everyday, sadly i was mistaken and havnt really touched it at all. im thinking of a psp not because it can play music but because it plays games and movies. as i said before my ps2 died and so i need a replacement and i thiink a psp can fill that gap.

i played on one in the shops yesterdat and the graphics were unreal, i couldnt beieve a little handheld could make so much power

Yeah I had a play with a PSP in a shop the other day too. Felt like a little kid having a free game. Screen WAS awesome, but a bit disapointed with the load time for the game. Good to see UMD movies are relatively cheap ($25-$30).
