Job offer free flight and re-settlement costs to start with then liked it and stayed.
Hmmm using the ever in fashion ethnic bullshit i would be English,Ire.Scot,Franc.Flem and American as to percentage(ha ha ha ha) there would need to be some sort of new DNA testing not yet thougt up but then again some German guys and gals did have a go at it a few years back.
When you get sick and come to my work place many NZers, Kiwis get the classification NZ european, funny but when you ask which part of the EU they come from you get a blank look...funny that.

When a non-english accent is detected you will often hear the kiwi phrase "where are you from then", then their eyes will glaze over and they will nod their heads like they really do know where you are from - in reallity, they are working out if its close to london.

Some kiwi rugby supporters have seemed to pick up on the fact that wales and scotland are different places because some kiwi rugby players have gone there, although they often struggle to deal with the extra cognition required and carry on referring to everyone as a pom; this is the same as us english people calling everyone a kiwi even tho they may be from some other place such as germany of fiji or south africa and australia.

So I went to the online Oxford and got this:

    Pommy(also Pommie)

    • noun (pl. Pommies) Austral./NZ informal, derogatory a British person.

    — ORIGIN said by some to be short for pomegranate, as a near rhyme to immigrant.
An interesting variation on the origin of the word.

    Very true.

I was born in England in an area that has variously been Pict, Celtic, Roman, Viking, Norman, Scots and probably a few others into a family with a Scots name on one side Anglo-Irish on the other and one Irish great grandparent and one Jewish, I was brought up in Sydney and then Hamilton....

Married a Pom..! Not a bad sort of a bird really..! We went back there to live in 2000 I took a job with the local airline and was based in Newcastle. I had a good time (Liked that Nukey Brown) along with the kids but poor old mum just hated being back there and rediscovered all the reasons she left in the first place. I must admit it was bloody cold and miserable in the winter though I found the Geordies to be a great bunch. So here we are back in Kiwi via Indonesia and Australia.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

It's funny coz there aint no-one around that can truthfully say they aren't a bitsa of some sort...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them
