Great race report!
If one looks at the lines supermotards take at Wanganui, they are almost identicle to road race lines. This is because the put it sideways approach is actually slower on road race tracks, motarders only do this on warm up and slow down laps for the most part....to please the crowd!
I race a 2 stroke motard bike, so cannot use that sideways style, however when I'm up against motards that put it out sideways on the entrance to corners, I thank them for the xmas present and shove it up the inside! I developed this technique at the Mt Wellington kart track. I won the 1st place cup that day, and yes Briggs and other go fast guys were there.
I hear you on the traffic congestion issues, it needs to be looked at, maybe with a certain amount of grid spots available and preference given to genuine F3 class bikes, then motards can take any spare spots after that, this should apply to all road race meets as I saw a similar issue at Taupo recently.
Hey TS good write up. hows your brakes going? are they still glazing up badly or is it improving?
keep up the good work,
