    Best post in weeks Crashe, very well said, and very true. Often a dirty, dangerous, and down right thankless job, and these people come to our aid every time. Utmost respect to you all.

    Yep, my life was in the hands of the paramedics, er staff, specialists and ward staff at Wellington (and later for my graft, Hutt hospital) after that car driver that just couldn't look or wait took me out (according to reports). I hope the extra 3 seconds he/she made on their journey was worth it.

    The fact that I'm here is huge evidence that those people know what they're doing, do it well and don't give up. One of the radiographers refused to let me go until she had the x-ray/ct-scan she was looking for, the one that finally showed the tear in my aorta (that big, really important blood vessel thingie of my heart).
