What rear rubber on an FXR

Hi all - its time to replace the rear rubber on the little FXR 150, used mainly for commuting, it aint no speed demon. Any suggestions or preferences from anyone ( or what not to buy more importantly ). Currently has a bald looking Pirelli MT75 - 110/80 -17 575 on it. I got a quote for a Continental Conticity $90ish fitted which sounded pretty cheap - another place wanted $200 for a Bridgestone, damn thats a chunk of cash for a little bike. Obviously you get what you pay for but when your only looking after 20 odd horses I dont need race rubber. Anyone got any suggestions ???

I just got new tyres on my KR150, I had ordered Dunlop GP TT900's for both front and rear... long story short, I have a conticity on my rear. I have been over the Rimutakas and back twice and done several other rides since, Ive found them to be quite good for the price they are.... If your just commuting then they may be a good choice?

I had my stock rear tyre replaced with a Continental tyre at about $80 - says 110/80-17 M/C 57S CC1 around the rim. It's much stickier when dry, but only a little less slippery when wet.

Had an FXR (22000 ks in 18 months, Pahiatua to Palmy) and put Dunlop BT 45 Batalaxes on front and rear. Great grip front and rear wet or dry and got about 13000 from the back and as you well know it doesn't scare you with grunt or lay strips of black on the road. Good value for money at the time.

I've found the MT75's take everything you throw at them in the dry. In the wet they aren't as good but I can't really compare them to anything from experience in that respect sorry.
