Lol that pic cracked me up when I first laid my eyes on it, i remember specifically seeing that cyclist at the top of the Coro hill there, had a quick chuckle to myself when i saw him cos he had quite a belly and it was stretched in that bright green fluro lycra shirt!! Good on 'im though!

There's always someone on a "slow" bike that has to upset the order of things. Just when I thought the "mighty Zeal" would have blown its engine, The damn thing appears. You rode it well Erik. All the two fiddy guys will be proud of you for sticking it to the faster bikes.

What's this banana crap. that was two of the newer members of the Royal Custard Motorcyle Performing Chimpanze Squad. If theres a camera around at least 3 of us will get in the shot. Aff's under training for the squad hence the "novice yellow helmet".

    Nice photos guys.

yah second rider of the day! [taking a bow]

always a runner up and never a winner *sigh* heh

as for the putting my life into zxrers hands ... only cos he promised we wouldnt go over 80kph ... or was it that he wouldnt go under 80kph??

the only thing i did that day that was foolhardy was not having my helmet on pre the ride (risking getting left behind! heh)

it was all good and im glad there was such a turn out as now i can put faces to some of these forum personas.

Thanks for letting me tag along on the first part of the ride chaps. Was interesting going tail end charlie through the Hunuas and watching everyone dicing it up through the first corners of the day. And yep, Erik, you were giving that Zeal death - woohoo!

I had a lovely wee cruise up through Kaiuaua enjoying the scenery. Managed to keep my speed down past Miranda on the way back too...
    Exploring pastures anew...

Pissed off that I missed it. Put my bike in the shop for a service while I was away for holidays and didn't get back in time to get it out of the shop. Now I'm told they might have to send the rear shock off to be looked at. Argh. More money. Will definitely be keen to go on the next one. Nothing will stop me !!!!! ....... hopefully

Was good to see you again Jill, didn't actually see you riding during the course of the morning though, as I was way up the front. Tks for volunteering to be T.E.C, but the pace was good wasn't it, we only had to wait 20 secs at the most for ya's! I enjoy the earlyish morning starts, several riders have made know their displeasure about meeting at 9, but i'd even like to see a 7 or 8am start on the next one. Great time of the day to ride cos there's little traffic about, next to none on the open roads, and it's a such beautiful time of the day...if it's dry that is.

100kmph is a very restrictive open road speed for *our* kind of bikes!

might have to go for a few warm up rides before doing the loop. my legs feel like i walked it instead of rode it. to much sitting on lecture benches and not getting out there to enjoy the roads
