    Sky TV in Christchurch...

Anyone watching it at the moment? Having problems with the picture dropping in and out and getting a Rain Fade message? Its not bloody raining!! I rang them up, they'll send out a techie to have a look, good work.....on Wednesday morning............hmmm bugger. So is it just my set thats screwing up or is it atmospheric conditions playing havoc?

PS, I think theres some Supermoto I was hoping to watch, hence the General Biker listing, cough, cough

Reception has been fine here all night. Even managed to catch a piece about the Ducati 999 at 7.15.
Seems to have been a whole afternoon and early evening on motorbikes of one sort or another on History channel (or was it Discovery)

Hopefully it's the satellite dish, rather than the satellite - you will need a slightly longer ladder for the latter.....

Relocate the dish with a few choice swings with a hammer. Should be good.

Cable (Saturn) has better reception than Sky (the same thing essentially) but ya don't get the viewing schedule - only for the next hour or so and ya have to wait for it to scroll through.

    TV schedule

This brings up the question, could a sub-forum be set up so that we can tell each other of upcoming motorcycle related programs, before they're on. Or could we use the events calender or something similar?

PS, who saw the 10 best motorcycles on TV about 5 weeks back?

Try squirting a hose at teh dish. Sometimes they can get dirty and loose the satelite feed. Worth a shot anyway.

Check that the cable going to the sat is screwed in nice and tight. I used to get the rain fade screen all the time from the constant removing and re-installing of the decoder (old mans a Sky tech, so I can 'borrow' a decoder and card for free, but I have to give the thing back for stocktakes) and that was always the problem.
