It is usually held on the first weekend of september, the same weekend as Fathers Day.
Just remember to pack all your polyprops and a nice warm sleeping bag.
All your footpath are belong to us.

One of the better rallies is the Brass Monkey down south. Queens birthday every year. Awesome ride. If from the north though you need to get your ferry tickets real early. Too late now I'd exspect.

A group of about 10 from Wanganui are heading down again this year (one has 12 under his belt). Again we left it a little late and are catching the 1am ferry so will be doing a night ride again!. Bloody cold!.

Anyone else going to the BM from this  forum?

Usually a group of us from Wgtn go to the Cold Kiwi

Last year was the first time in 15years we missed going, definitely going this year. Usually an adventure ride somewhere, last time up through Paraparas 6 bikes in a line going for it.

Get a group together for the rally, its more fun. Keep off the main ( revenue collecting )roads as strangely the roads are quite often heavily policed on rally weekends.

Another good rally will be the WIMA rally in November 21st to 23rd this year being held in Tokomaru Bay, East Cape. Good camping spot (right on the beach), good roads to get there & at that time of year will be nice & warm

    Oh Yes,

The COLD KIWI RALLY - gives me the shakes to even think of it.

I was so cold, I thought I would freeze to deaf if I went completely

to sleep..... I went to sleep anyway, eventually. Didn't die of

    frozen-vein disease.

Then, some arse-brained biker REVVED HIS BIKE UP precisely

    at 6.00am.

I will never go to another Cold Kiwi Rally without taking along

A NICE, CLEAN, FRIENDLY  WARM  man to snuggle up to.
Everything is always okay in the end.

    Yep,

Very Cold, rather drunk, seriously happy, good music/dancing

from excellent band, excellent tucker, and a

fine, fast, ride home to a deep, hot bath.

Who's going down this year from Auckland ??

    Count me in........

Cold Kiwi Entry forms now available. I down loaded mine from the internet. Ruapehu mcc site. A Group of us nomally go from south Auckland friday morning, arrive early and set up your site before the crowds arrive... get a fire drum if you want to socialise at your tent . but go prepared for any weather, it is sunny, warm to Wet , cold normally in the same hour.

yeah... i'm gonna have to give it a go! I'll be up for a group ride down. my girlfriends cousin-in-law is also planning to go on his R6 so he might be keen to hook up as well if not already booked in with a group.

There will be a group of us from Wellington going up Sat morning if anyone from this way is interested. Normally back roads with perhaps the odd gravel road.

Possibly leaving from the Plimmerton weigh station around 8am

I am thinking of heading down for the first time, have always been put off by the thought of a Harley parking itself on my tent as I slept or worse still the rider doing the same

Bestfun I like the warm male thing................ however suffer from lack of volunteers

    Got any spare????
