oh parts huh, well most of the engine internals are common to the 850, gearbox, pistons, conrods, clutch etc.
frame parts are similar forks, wheels, shaft unit & other assorted bits n pieces.
if thats any help, but theres bound to be one or two of the old girls around somewhere.

    yeap I got one
79000k bit rough around the edges but still goes well,
4 into 1 harris dump tube, would not call it a muffler by any streach
Its had the cams change to someting but I have no idea
and the carbs have been played with to what spec only god knows
But it starts every time without a problem, still gets to 200 klicksand the rev counter loves sitting around 5000.
A bitch to ride in the city but awsome on the open road,
A heavy bike sure when I only weigh 65kg,
    great fun

    Hi and welcome.

I use to have a 81-82? XS Eleven.
And I think that I may have a part or two around still.
I think I have a full set of indicators (one may have a cracked lens) a kick start shaft runner cover and a front brake master cylinder cover.
And a manual, but I think that I would keep that for old times sake.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

    Hi there,
I might be able to help. I've got a 79-80 and heaps of parts. I built up my outfit from three bikes. I have owned 4 XS11s and rebuilt 3. My first XS could do 250kms two-up with camping gear, and my second could do over 220 with 180,000kms under her belt. With the chair attached I could do 170kms with my hands off the bars, and 15.68 sec quarter mile (that was before the 0.5mm rebore). If I could afford it I would have 3 XS11s; a 'tweaked' original, a sidecar outfit, and a radical looking racer. My brother has owned brand new GSX1200, brand new CB1300 and brand new Rocket III, yet the fastest he has ever gone is 250kms on my old XS11.
The one thing I have missed out on is the feeling of riding out the door with a brand new XS1100....it must have been amazing.
