Cheers Man. people are going to get sick of me turning up with a broken bike

found another old big end, should do the job, motors out on the bench and now striped. just having a tea then back into it. - bit of a bugger i had the timing nearly bang on. Might need a hand tomorrow sort out jetting/timing it seem to take me age's to get it right.

by the way does anyone know the working of a ZXR250 tank tap. I've had to use my one on the bucket and it seem to stop flowing ??? there is a extra tube on the back of the tap that I'm not sure what it does, i can only conclude that its a vent or a suction tude any ideas what i can do to make it flow again ?????????

It's a vacuum controlled on/off. When the engine sucks the fuel flows. Normally connects to the carb/intake to get the vacumn (right on the butterfly - I think - like an old carb car with vacuum advance ignition).

I've never pulled one apart. But I could bring the one off my KH100 if you think that'll work? Text me if you want to try it.

That was a good day! Watching the quads out of the corners all crossed up

And I quite enjoyed the last corner onto the front straight (full throttle, top gear), that was fun.

I don't think there would be much interest in a story about the sound that bikes make going past me and the speed that they disappear into the distance...
