    Wink Congratulations to me

After years of kissing old mens arses and playing "the game" I have finally achieved the heady heights of upper middle management.

    Girlygirl - Operations Manager !!

With this obviously coveted 9 - 5 corporate type title comes the following:

    1. Company vehicle to the value of $50K - Have chosen the Mazda3 MPS....
    2. Credit card for entertaining suppliers and such like.
    3. Waaaay better salary, which if we juggle it should mean we can start racing F3 on a shoe string...
    4. General importance aound the orifice (note to self: must practice that air of arrogance)
So yeah, I am happy and stuff, roll on the next 3 years and the move into Senior Management!!

    Om nom nom.

    Well done.GG.
Umm, let us know if upper management butt kissing is better or worse than middle. Hey now the juniors will have to kiss up to you.
Oh, I agree, the Ducati would be an excellent company ride. Will keep upper management guessing too.

Congratulations and well done! Good for you!

Nice to see someone moving up - I've been going backwards the last few years. At 24, I was in charge of a staff of ~25, and 6 years after that, I was Systems Manager, and had doubled my salary. Now my boss is 19 years younger than me, I have no underlings, and I'm earning much less in real terms than I was 24 years ago. That's what you get when you don't plan your career, and just bumble along. I'm now in my eighth career, and have never used my degree.
#2 Son has NO qualifications, is in his first proper job (Systems Manager for an electronics company), and earns nearly as much as I do.
The vifferbabe earns nearly twice what I do. But she works too many hours of (unpaid) overtime because she's a sucker. (I work many hours of undertime becomes I'm a bum).
At least I earn more than #1 Son (next to nothing) and #3 (zip). Yay! I'm better'n someone! (even if I'm dumber'n'urglyer...)
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Congrats! I think you should have parlayed the $50K company car into several cars or better yet... bikes! But that's just me!

Now, just watch out they don't restructure the job around you!
