FJ, you dont have to offer...I know what sorta commitment is involved for a big bike owner. Besides its more the straight line feel, with the 75km corners that I really am interested in at the mo. Thats safe as and gives me a bit of a feel for what the bike would be like in the twisties. When I am legal (*cringes*) Ill take a shops one up the Takas and see what its like.

Lets discuss the next time we go for a ride. Sunday?

I have to apologise to Dafe. Im sorry I had to call your bike a 'barstool'. I know the K6 is something special, but the reason its special is lost on me. As far as I am concerned its no more special than the 'bird (not a trivial bike obviously).

The reason why the K6 is special is because its quicker than the 'bird but weights 60kg less. Do doubt the bike tips in and corners exceptionally as well, but a 250cc riding newb aint going to know that. The only thing I can go on really is the ergos and the sensation. 1/4 throttle on either the K6 or 'bird isnt going to tell me much at all about the difference in the mills eh?

You should be listening to big bike riders like Uncle B and Darkman. They love it. They should know.

I like the Z1000's. Had one pass me down the takas once and it left an indelible impression on me since. Will have to testride one from Sawyers some day. It would have to be orange though (second obviously)...with the bellypan and tail-undertray thingy.

Hey if a barstool rider has no problems letting you loose then I sure don't.

Up till now it's been a case of thinking whether we trust Skel on our pride and joys. Now, Skels thinking the same thing about you.

Pretty much the same question for me Skels. I've been tossing up between the same bikes as you. I'm thinking the TL, I like the riding position better. I'm keen to have a go on a SV thou, &/or SV600 to see the comparrison, but at 120kgs I think the slighty heavier thou might handle me a bit better. I'm aiming towards a TL coz it's likely going to be closer to my price range. I'm not so sure about love at first sight/ride. I think it comes down to "I don't like less about this bike than the others"
    I dunno that's just my 2c
