Well the SV650 is a thou cheaper than the S new. I'd guess you should be looking for a discount on top of that.

Boyd in Hamilton have an 03 for 7,800.

I think resale of the Suzy will be better than the Hydrobag.

There were 2 SV650SK5s in Takapuna for $10995, clearance price, and possibly a new K4 for less I think (it might have been a SV650).

The look is is important to you....

I think the look of the Hyobag needs to be revisited. I just remember what I thought the first time I saw it...yummy.

Im not convinced of the SV650S. I like the K5 (black frame) in black maybe...dont worry Bruce, I love your bike!

I reckon I hav revised my thoughts on this skel [and yes this is a serious post]
I keep blieving a gsxr600 would be the go for you but damit...everyone especially dafe are makin alot of sence...sv650...but then your also right about the hyobag senior [650r] cheaper and I would imagine your weirod friend fergus 'would give u a good trade to upgrade!!' [oh I'm a poet and I know it...lol]

and forget the ohlins for the mean time...coz the day you can out ride your bikes suspension will be the day you'll probally be test driving a gixxer [and buying of course]

footnote: I think skel is a very mature rider for what I have seen....and very capable aswell..and this little bitch isn't about you..but you might know a few of these people..as others have mentioned about new-ish riders riding out of there abilities, skill and minds...I hav seen and ridin behind such people...with horrible horrible thoughts running through my head [ie: running wide into the opposite side of the road...overtaking on blind bends, body well over the centre line while cornering] about their longivity in this world...and its a aweful thought to be having about a fellow rider...how do you tell these people to slow down and or explain their actions and the consequences without havin a bitch fight with words...and if any of these people read this [no I'm not pointing fingers at all...its just that these sorts of people might realise who they are by reading this] the truth is ' your not fast if you can't ride on your side of the road' end of story....

sorry for havin my lil bitch on your thread skel...

No worries. Thanks for your post.

Newbies?: suggest to the rider(s) that yall go for a ride and tell them your thoughts on the ride itself. Be SUPER tactful ie 'I hope you dont if I...'. Experience has shown me that its very hard to give unsolicited advice over these forums. People that havent met you poos, have formed opinions based on what you post (good or bad). Youre a good bloke and I value your advice, but it would be hard to impart your advice on someone who hasnt met you, and be taken seriously. Make sense?
Champion rides like the Newbie one coming up (I think you have) and use THAT as your forum.

Dafe: SV650S rear tires are 160's, Hyobag 650R tires are 160's
