Sharpen your riding skills a bit and you won't be interested in those 4 wheels anymore......

Duration of the event is slightly unknown. Factors such as traffic, speed of groups (ie, if we run a 70 group, it will change the timing) and length of stops make it difficult. No-one will be left behind, and all groups will be accounted for at the major stops.

Ride should finish approximately mid afternoon. About 3-4 pm. But it could finish a bit earlier.

Just a quick note from personal experience...

Sun index is real high at the moment, got some red patches on my arms today despite not being out for long.

Those of fair complexion, or who burn easy would be advised to either take some sun screen or cover up during rest stops.

    That will be all.

    Edit - Not quite all....

If anyone wants my mobile number in case they get lost / whatever them PM me and I'll hand it out. Can't go posting it here because it may get picked up by the likes of Poos

Was the cruise a good success / turnout today? I just read this thread, and I rekon , this is an awesome idea! (I just wish the timing was right for me to have come along - no road bike yet)
Hopefully another one will be planned

    Congratulations

Congratulations to Weasel and Gremlin for putting this together. A great idea turned into a great event. A real succsess.

I don't know the final count but I think it was just under the 40 mark.

Well done to all those that turned up, from Newbies to the more exprienced riders. I was really impressed with the level of co-operation from such a large group of people.

It was a pleasure riding with you all.
Some days it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.

Yes, a great event... Thanks Weasel and Gremlin. Had a good mix of conditions, including some wet roads, but not enough to get uncomfortably wet (IMO anyway). I think the number and spacing of stops worked out just right too. Well done.

Fireproof, Nicksta, Monzta - You all did very well, riding safely with confidence and within your abilities. But best improver of the day would have to be Weasel's brother (sorry, didn't get your login name). It's tough getting confidence back after an incident, but you got better and better as the day progressed.

Thanks Phil from Riderskills for coming along and helping out. It seems the advice you gave was the same as mine.... and there's nothing like positive reinforcement from a professional like yourself. Thank you.

Edit: I just realised that weekends are probably your busiest work times, so a special thank you for giving up the income!!

Good to meet a few more KB'er - Would have liked to meet you Phurrball.... were you there?

Well folks... good ride... good people.

Massive thanks to the instructors and tail end charlies... this would not have been possible without such a lot of people giving up their time to help out.

Big up to Gremlin for actually knowing here he's going.

Thanks to Rayza for getting some pics (which I imagine will be posted up later).

Big thanks to RiderSkills... this guy does this kinda thing for a living and yet still found time to come out today, I recommend him for anyone that needs a little 1 on 1 training.

Didn't get to speak to everyone today, and those that I did I probably forgot your name as soon as I walked off... so I'll just thank everyone for taking it easy and managing not to crash!

I had a good day today, and knowing that people took new skills / advice from the experience made it all worthwhile.

Well woke up this morning at 10:30 (learning from the master ah gremlin) And though meh got nothing better to do so i might go meet some new peoples.

Got to the BP at 11:15 and got told the bikes had left 45 mins earlier (which turned out to be bullshit) so put a move on and caught up to the group in clevedon. Was more interested in meeting people so i just had some fun out the front.

Thanks for letting me tag along guys and thanks to rayza for keeping me company (even if you were riding gremlins devil bike)

    See ya all out there

    It was a good ride.
No bins or nothing, but there were a few close calls, mainly with taking corners wide and crossing centre line.
Thanks to Weasel and Gremlin for sorting it all out,
I belive their going to do a Wellsford next :spudflip:
    Phenoix the bike riding Phoenix.
For from his crash, he shall rise again.
