    Good stuff everybody,

Seems everyone had a pretty good day and hopefully helped a few people out with getting a bit of experience on the open road and building confidence.

Any newbies that are keen on getting out on more rides don't be hesitant about coming along on KB rides, you won't be alone!.

There is a ride out to Port Waikato on Thursday the 2nd of Feb that I have organised so feel free to tag along if you want.

Thanks to Weasel and Gremlin, good job guys! Bout time someone did something like this!. Top marks fellas.

    Catch you some time soon...

Ahh.. good day people, nice to meet some new faces.

I played tail end charlie for one of the 100k groups.. Mint sounding Hyosung 250, fhartstorm thou speed four and a zzr400. Paul you did a great job leading on the hornet - great pace, nice to see it picked up a little to the end so you judged it well. And good to see you guys getting that apexing right! Congratulations - you all did well.

THanks weasel and gremlin for organising it.

And thanks to me for the little barbie meet up

[size=1] and after riding that 7r.. my bike feels like a pushbike damnit. 10 more months.. good one gremlin lol)

edit: thanks for coming along riderskills... I will be sending a few keen new bikers your way via the web !

    Thumbs up Photo's

Great to see everybody made it home safe. Jaybe and I tagged along untill Clevedon. Had our own plans for the afternoon. Soon after leaving Clevedon the heavens opened up and I got soaked.
Gave up my plans and went home instead (chicken I know). I thought of all the newbies on a wet and twisty road and figured there might be some nervous moments. But by the sound of it all went well, great job guys well done.
Anyway i took some pics at the meeting point so if interested have a look here:

    Thanks everyone very much !

Thanks to everyone that came yesterday, I really enjoyed it and feel I learned a lot from riding with you all. Special thanks to Weasel and Gremlin for organising it, Phil from riderskills - thanks a lot for the great tips, I will endeavour to include all that in my riding from now on. Also thanks to Kelly (giving me the same tips as ridersafe ). Thanks to all the people behind me at anytime during the day (for your patience !) I will definitley be interested in future outings like this. It was invaluable !

PS. Whoever the guys that I followed to Botany BP - Thanks heaps too !

Was myself, Weasel (and his brother.. forget the kbr name!) and 'Johnbanks'.
I was happy to see you improve greatly throughout the day matey! (and remember what I said about practising in a carpark... the Saint Kentigern College and Tamaki University ones are close and very good for that sort of stuff) You did very well and when I see stuff like that happen it makes these rides all worth it in the end. Seems you live close to GI too eh? I'm in meadowank

If you need tips/help just give me a private message any time.

*sniff* me poor bike, first Rayza raped it, then raster mutilated it... (I know, I know, the merge isn't quite accurate )

A massive thank you to all of you who came out. Without the learners, we would have had a pointless ride, without the instructors we would have had no advice for the learners. Without the leaders and pointers (one of whom... well... rode my bike more than I rode his ) people would have got lost.

A special thank you to Phil (www.riderskills.co.nz) who came out on his own time to offer free advice to some of the learners.

Phenoix said there were some close shaves, but we had no bins, despite the weather playing a few underhanded tricks.

My pics (well, Rayza on my camera... and my bike) are in my gallery. If they are good, rep me, if bad, blame rayza Not to mention, 2 particular pointers having a load of fun photographing themselves, while a worried owner was wondering where the hell his bike was...

It seems everyone had a good time, and Weasel and I will probably try to run one bi-monthly, next up we are thinking probably Wellsford.

Yeah, champion day out. I should've said hello to more people, but I'll do that next time, when I don't feel like such a newbie tard, which is what it's all about.

And a big cheers to SpankMe for giving our group a little passing practise, was superb. By the end of the day I went straight down the centre line between a bastard Corolla and an oncoming Mitsi. Sounds dangerous, but I could!

You did very well thealmightytaco I saw that corolla incident and you made the right choice to back off the first time and wait for a safer place to pass. Was very impressed with the newbies in my group (thealmightytaco/kels/johnbanks) your guys lines and corner speed and position on the road was really good!.

Keep at it and remember - Rubber side down

Cheap stitching cause I'm too tight to pay for a better stitching program.

I was hoping to get a photo of me on the bike, I seem to only be half there in each photo, even the photo my brother attempted to get are only half there, must have been too fast for him

Awesome day out. Had lots of fun and it was great meeting everyone. Unfortunately I stuffed up with the uploading of pictures... they're in there, but under General or summat. Bugger.
