    The Bucket Factory is open.

If you're coming round bring a 6300Z bearing with you. I need one for Sketchys bucket.

Hmmm. Yeah - 'everything' pretty much covers it. Mine is an AX100, and is nothing like an A100.

Everything. And nothing. All because the last thing we did meant we had to start again on everything else.

We are one wheel bearing away from getting Purple Death going. Sully did the gear change today.

Done the handle bars on AJ's GT, and one foot peg. That thing just does not want to modify easy.

AX is ready to race again (suspension adjusted).

ZX1R-T is dead. Really dead. Going to gather the bits required to make it live again over the next [insert shortish time possible]. So that'll be a few weeks away.

I'm starting to think about my next bucket project...I'm thinking custom made frame with a hotted up AX100 motor.

Talked to the old man today and he didn't immediately dismiss the idea as dumb and irresponsible which suggests to that he will probably help out.

I've been studying photos of Ducati frames and am thinking that I could copy the design fairly easily using tubular aluminum.

Anyone have any experience in custom frame design/construction?

save yourself some time and effort with a Honda RS125 chassis. It'll be better than you can ever fabricate and cheaper too!

I have one for sale too. what a convienience!

    Where's the fun in that?

On a separate note, I've found the lastest gremlin to plague the mighty GP.

The flywheel was loose and the woodruff key has been shawn off, I'm not sure which order that happened in but that's what I've found.

So the 'orrible metal on metal noise was probably the flywheel rubbing on something and it would have been back firing, as AJ et al pointed out because the timing was out...and the timing was out because the flywheel was loose.

So, anyone know where to get replacement woodruff keys?

Yep. Mine failed. That could have been me though. Yeah, properly was me.

Alloy welding... hmmmm. Nice to know someone who can do it (or who knows someone who can).

AX100 is a bad choice of motor - only a 4 speed box and an 'oddball' from Suzuki. No interchangable parts with anything else. But if you've got it already I know someone who has a hot-ish one to copy.

MB100 is good if you match it to an MB50 box - 6 speed.

Woodruff key from any bikeshop, measure it first.

The key is of no strength & only for assembly.

All the grip is in the taper. Really.

Get some valve grind past & lap the flywheel to the crank taper. Take some time & do it well & then clean it all off.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Thanks Dave, could only find half of the key so will take that along with me when getting the replacement.

Good tip about the valve grind paste.
