I dont need a bike to beat you.
Hey Ivan,
If you want to be really cautious and not irreversibly mess with the port timing take the ax base gasket and copy it onto a piece of aluminium plate say 2mm thick and put that under the barrel where the gasket would be.
Get some one to skim the same amount off the head to maintain the compression ratio( or a little bit more, for more compression, it's not hard to work out how much)
Put the barrel back on the engine with the piston installed and at bdc scratch (lightly) or mark a line on top of the piston under the ports then remove the barrel and file down to these marks so they are flush with the top of the piston at bdc, remember to lightly chamfer the edges of the ports top and bottom to make the rings not catch and last longer.
This raises all the ports together and increases the port area which makes the engine rev harder and is the most fool proof way to tune a two stroke without getting into magical port timing formulas which usually end up making something unridable.
Hey Expert thatis the most simple way I have heard of tuning a 2 stroke,
Thanks for that I might have to try that out.
I am trying out testing a different head one of a tf100
it has a bigger squish in it will be worth trying to start tommorow,
I spentall afternoon in the ports again this time the dremal was with a polishing tip on it and polished every port ultra smooth and almost a mirror finish to give as much of a smooth flow as possible that has to be worth at least one horsepower![]()

OK i just test started it in the drive I cant really get a good feel for what the engine is like without actually riding it properly I might go for a cruise down a nice stretchof road to do that and take both heads and see what the difference is I did notice from startign it that it doesnt want to idle any more and you have to keep giving it a fair bit of revs to get any response from it,
Its not like most two strokes I have ridden Im talking about buckets here which when you twist the throttle it is like BRING this is BRRAAAHHHH BRING
Might be jetting as well
The TF also has a big head gasket on it which I am going to remove and run my ultra thin ax one so the compression is there and get the head skimmed down from my uncle who is an engineer,
Well I cant really tell you what the porting has done from starting it in the drive and I dont want to keep startign it in the drive and clog the ports either I want to properly ride it flat tack and see what it does.
Tonight I am getting my new chamber welded to it as well which is off aYZ/RM/KX 80 dont know which one
I also wanted to add a smaller fly wheel for less weight and more throttle response but I rememberthere was something wrong with the taper on the crank
O well we nearly hita 1000 posts and I dont want to fill the last ones up myself someone else can

A pile of parts just like all the others we have been shown. You must have a shed like a bike wreakers.
Its harder to lose weight than gain horsepower.
You fuggen spud!!
you did the 1000th post!!
.... well at least this thread will just die now...
No RG you did the 1000th post and no I wont let it die buddy
And I dont have a shed like a bike wreckers I got a mate who is a bike wrecker.
Umm it was ment to be showing you the ports I can not takea good photo tho
