about 20 years ago people were spending 1000's of $$ on their buckets... me, i spent about 3-400... and while i never won many races was all had

    FUN
fair enough!! its cool when you can beat waaayy tuned up bikes on a stocker! those 50's are way fast.

I probably didn't explain the reasoning behind having a separate class.
All in races are cool and the old bikes could race in the "Premier Class" as well, as you know AJ the more the better.
I just think that if someone had an ol' skool CG125 or whatever in their garage they could turn up and see "modern looking" bikes and GP framed bikes and be a little dishartened (is that even a word- there has already been enough "Bush" on this thread).
I see it being like post classics for buckets.

The socio economic thing is also a good idea but maybe a little harder to apply. My bike complete rolling chassis cost me nothing because I was in the right place at the right time and the motor came out of the old RG framed rocket twister. I can't afford to spend anything on my buckets but because I have "contacts" I can keep my rig going pretty good.

    Keep up the debate Y'all

Ivan, do you have a crack in your tank or some other problem?
After my last off I cracked my tank, I've bodged it up with metal epoxy.

Problem is I need a tab welded to it so the tank can bolt onto bike then its done

As The standered Aprillia Tank was plastic and is had it,

And I cantfind a tank that willfit, SO i got a RX100 tank i think, it is designed to slide over a tube chassis and be heldin place were as the aprillia is different, so I have to weld a tab on it so I can bolt it to frame and it will be mint but like I said no one wants to weld it.

    Just weld the fuggen thing

Wash it out with water.. leave it for a couple of hours and weld away... or if your not convinced, first stand back and drop a match in.. No boom?? Weld away!!

Does anyone know if a RG400 shock and linkage will fit in an early alloy RG250 frame?

I reckon that if you're going to split the classes it's best along frame design lines. Backbone and twin spar maybe.

Chch split between 'Production' - as it left the shop pretty much, and 'Super Bucket' - anything modified.

Dar, not that I've really thought about it.

    GP100 Goodness

    My new engine arrived today!

It was like Christmas! The RZ chassis hasn't arrived yet though and it's not looking like I'll get it before the weekend.

Oh well...at least I've got an engine to play with, here are some pics:

Sure it will, anything will fit if you try hard enough.

Nope, just noise... I haven't got a decent pipe on mine - that's all. You may need to make a muffler of sorts.

I'm pretty sure the chassis has a muffler coming out under the seat so may be able to use that.

I'm dying to kick it over but fucked if I know what all the parts are for.
