The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,

and then after all the half price Mc D's every two years you have to do a PCT I used to love going for those ($750. net ! ) pissing myself at the lard arses trying to get over the 6' wall . I think you get a second for every year older you are over 20 yrs ? I always cruised around in 2 mins 30 secs even at my ripe old 56 years.. G.

Whatever show off, when I did the test I was 2.19 and when I did scope I got shit. They tell me it gets easier when you get used to the technique.

I put it down to doing it on wet muddy ground on the day

Need to speed up though at college for my own good.

Meh, did it in 2:15 when I first joined (44 years old) but now too much lard means I'm doing it in 2:45ish - but hey, at over 50 I don't have to go OVER the wall!
The difference of going over vs not going over is about 4 seconds max.

Put on 10kg at college in 5 months!!!! - and never lost it!

i was a pretty consistant 1.45-1.50'er, but once the cash $$ came in, i didn't really see the need to put the effort in - a pass was all that was required, although a P1 was needed for SAR. i was doing ironman and multisport, training 20 hours a week, so who did i need to prove i was 'fit' to?
