So what's the slow/novice class like? Would a newbie like me (had learner licence for 2 weeks so far) get blown out of the water, or would it be a useful way to improve skills etc etc?
    Thanks,
    Rosie.

Rosie --the way you are let out onto the track means that probably Yes you will be passed by faster bikes. BUT Theres a little hitler watching to make sure its always done safely.
People are really good when passing -there is a rule --The responsibility to pass safely is on the passing rider.

DEATH_INC = I agree. Besides I really dug the TD at Taupo last year. Was awesome meeting some north-north islanders from KB and found most antagonists from KB were good people. You are less likely to meet as many if its held a two-thirds of the way down the country. Only comitted riders like Gareth, Buggy and MT etc.

Rosie, you'll be fine. Everything is arranged so it's as safe as possible and everyone has a good time. You won't regret going.

I suggest you pm Str8 Jacket and ask her what it was like being a newb on a small bike at a track day. She just recently went to Manfield and was in the same position as you are.

Its a brand new track and its no longer run by a club its run by a profit making company -None of the other fixed costs have really changed. Except Im paying for marshalls rather than having KB marshalls so EVERYBODY gets track time.
The hint I have is that Hampton Downs is goint to be similarly priced so I'd get used to it.
makes Manfeild look pretty darn good right now.
so frosty, or anyone else who knows, please confirm its $100 for the day?
    bugger it, im coming!

I'd say sell your liver but I don't think you'll get much for that shrivelled up prune-like poor excuse for a liver mate.
