    2nd that.

You'll also get a dollar discount if your homeline is with TelestraClear.

I've never had troubles connecting, getting disconnected or general network performance speed - always the same. Rather boring when you think about it, so to throw spice into it, once in a hundred blue moons the odd email gets lost or arrives/dispatches several days after arriving/sending. This should be improved with all the recent email servers they added into the system.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

Yeah go paradise. Xtra/telescum dialup (what I use currently) is not any more reliable than other providers (using 5 different modems... from top of the line to crap ones, and new lines etc) so just go for paradise.

Or wait for the new jetstream that Telstra has been allowed to roll out. Labour said f*** you telecom and gave them [telstra] access. Sweet....!

I've been with Maxnet for nearly 10 years and maybe had a problem twice in that time. They are really helpful and I am reluctant to leave. We have dail up at home and broadband at the shop.
    Check them out

There is freeware out there that will tell you how many people are qued for your server isp and line losses and all that stuff I had to look into it as when we first upgraded our broadband from 40 to 100 ..IT was crap,,,dropping connections at nite , not connecting etc
I kept a log and everytime it crashed I checked how many people were using and the line connection, packet loss ( cut and pasted the results into a calender)
Still dont know what 1/2 of it means ...( I didnt even know there was an national and international speed )

Anyway the long and short of this was ,,when I complained for the last time via the head honcho ,,I was able to back up my insults with facts ,,,
Suddenly... there has been NO problem my end ,,,problems just dissapeared over nite ...strange tha...t as my computer hasnt changed ,,,*they swore blind it was my fault *

Good luck fella, There needs to be a boot put up the backside of the telescum business in NZ

Post a poll - Paradise is a winner for me though too. I was on dial up for 2 years and just switched to adsl before xmas - used up my 4 gig in about 2 weeks! May need 10 from here on...

Paradise is good, but I was with slingshot dial up for a while and didn't have any problems.

I'm with Paradise, just gone on to the 250 hours/$20 plan as I occasionally went just over the 150 hours/$15 and it would cost me an extra $16 so I figured it was cheaper to pay an extra $5 a month and never have to worry again!

Pretty good service and I find their help desk exactly that - helpful. We get a few hang-ups on the line but that is more than likely due to the crap rural Telecom connection we have than Paradise.

Since they had their big problem with email over Christmas (overload of spam) I am getting far fewer spam emails - and most aren't offering viagra! With Xtra I used to get some of the most pornographic spam you could imagine - but it was instantly recognisable as the subject line would spell it out in graphic detail!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Tell me more about Telstra Jetstream? Is it the same as Paradise ADSL?
I'm paying $135/month for phone/internet/Saturn TV bundle. That's 4gig/month traffic. probably double that this month.
