Westpac Helicopter Run 2003

I was really looking forward to going on this run. Being on the road with so many bikes was great. The best part was seeing the cars lined up on the on-ramps, blocked from entering the motorway by a single motorbike. It was a beautiful sight. It almost brought a tear to my eye.

Movie

I also took a short movie on the side of the motorway of the bikes passing. It is 25MB compressed.

I was a bit disappointed with the finish. There should have been some events organized. Burnouts, wet t-shirt, drag comps, anything except lying on the grass eating greasy food.

Spankme I've not met you, but I don't think you'd look too good in a wet T-Shirt

Since my wife had been away for a week I decided the best thing was to stay at home on Sunday. So I went into the garage and straightened the handlebars on the SV, put all the road gear back on....and took it for a short 'test' ride. Maybe I'll get the rego done this week

I'm new to the whole riding in big groups thing but am willing to give it go even after paeroa. But i have no idea where this place is can somebody please give me directions or a street name or something to look up.

aff-man, march 16th is the next one, refer to spankme's thead in this forum Cambridge to Hamilton Motorcycle Toy Run last time I went to this a couple or 3 years back i think they got around 2000 bikes.
