    Arrow Laverda 668 FOR SALE

    Hello Folks

Was asked by a client of mine today if I wanted to buy his Laverda 650 folmula (668cc). Although I wasn't tempted, I thought that some one out there might well be waiting for just such an oportunity.
Here are the details as I know them, he will be emailing me complete details in a day or two, so if your interested I can get you all the specs and put you in contact.

Its a UK spec bike, brought over here privately two years ago - only one owner from new. It has hardly been used and has less than 3000 dry miles on it, so figure everything to be original. it has been regularly serviced with haldanes in auckland. He's selling it 'cus he just doesn't ride it here and his wife wants a new car!

Listening to him talk about it, I expect its been wraped in cotton wool since he bought it (I think its 3 or 4 yrs old, not entirely sure). Its regestered here and all above board. As for all the other details I don't have them yet, but will by early next week.

As for price, he did mention a figure, which when I lookied at the blue book price in the UK was a little high, but I expect he has added in the cost of shipping and regeristing it here into the price, so there will be room for bargining and could be your for 10K+ if my maths are right.

Either way, if you or any one you know has been waiting to get there hands on a this reasonable rare Italian Marc, then PM me and I'll move this along.

    Thanks for your time.

    As for price,

    rare Italian Marc.
Hey man, Awesome bikes the 668 and 750's.... however IIRC only the 750 is a Formula (all go fast bits & c/f) so just check on that detail... the 668 is a airhead and the 750 a water cooled engine.

If its a 668 then it predates 1997 as that was the 1st year of the 750's.

Unfortunatly they dont sell for much as there is a lack of interest in theses bikes due to the lack of knolage... pity really as they are a fantasic bike even with there Itialian fults, and they do have a few.

Rare it is typical Iti engenering let down by a few we probs, havent ridden a 668 but have spent a lot of time on a 750S bloody rapid excelant handling bikes.
    cheers DD

Thanks for the heads up, as I say when I get the full SP on the bike and its history I will post a more comprehensive message, this is to whet the interest of prospective buyers really. I would be interested, but we have no room in the garage with the GSXR and WRX, and the missus ain't selling the WRX and I ain't selling the GSXR, to replace it with a tempermental Italian as my only means of transport - been there done that...twice in fact and have the financial scars to prove it LOL

the 668 Laverda was/is a beast of the mid 90s through to the late 90s, it came out in the standard 668 (fully faired sports) 668 formula (Ltd Model with white power suspension, carbon mufflers& guards), & 668 ghost ( bikini fairing model). As D said up date in 97 to 750cc capacity
they've got a nico bakker designed frame, paioli forks, marchesini wheels brembo brakes etc. produced 70ps & 60nm on paper and were renowned for being a peeky top end motor for a parallel twin.

the std 668 cost $17495aus when new.

damn fine scratchers bike but a bit uncivilized for an everyday bike

I've ridden a 750S and it was (and still is) the most evocative, beautifull handling, down right SEXY piece of kit I've ever swung a leg over. Except for Riff raff.

I'd fucken kill to have one in my garage.
