Thanks Fraser. A good project for you and a good product for me.
    Cheers mate.

    nice stand. whats the finish?
    Paint , prime or powdercoated?
and also, whats the freight to napier? no need to package it I am sure the couriers would take it just with a tag on it or a sticker

I'll look into it. Proly need to wrap it up a bit to protect the paintwork.

Ok I have made enquiries with 3 different courier companies. Best I got is with NZ couriers at a flat rate of $12 for North Island. So cost to you is stand plus $12.

    Giday Frazer,

I will have one of these, if you still got one.

They look real good man - well done.
Tried to get in contact with some one else on KB a while back who was building paddock stands - but to no avail.

Have you had an engineering tought as to fitting adjustable Y end fittings that work with swing arm stand 'bobbins' ?? If so would be keen for that as well.

Let me know if you have had some one in to size up an R1, and if the fit was sweet.
If you haven't fit one to a R1, I will get one anyways, and see if it does the business.
You said $12,- for courier Nth Isalnd. maybe you would like to ask the courier company what a Sth island (west coast) freight sticker would be.

I got you cell number so will either PM or give you a call

    Cheers
    Feral

Yes I am looking into the bobbin option.

I haven't fit one to an R1 yet. I'd be very surprised if it didn't fit. I used to have the same model and colour as your one. Sweet bike man.

I'll get back to you with a freight cost.

A pathetically directionally challenged biker gets a stand

Thankee, both on the bike and the stand. Rather glad my pipe is so loud... you were able to come out and identify yourself.

Nice neighbourhood too... being pathetic at getting places for the first time, I got a good look see around... I completely missed the SH17 turnoff... wondering how much further when I see the road above me. Got to go all the way around, then, coming home, I almost missed the motorway twice (first turned into albany mega centre, then almost went past the turn... sheesh)

Dunno what was with the bike either... it cut out on me turning into Bawden Rd (although you probably heard ). And despite your amazement, the stand got home without a single murmur... would have forgotten about it, if it wasn't visible in the mirrors.

And next time (when I get my bobbin attachments) could you please arrange some nice weather??

    A bit of a bumpy

to help ol Fraser, but more importantly:

How is it going with the bobbin arms?? With the a/m exhaust, a bolts for it, its tight fit for the stand to get a place. And since I have bobbins already...

    Where are my bobbin arms??

Other than that, stand is working fine.... holding the bike as it should

If you need a bike to model off, I'm happy to help... just need to find the stupid SH17 turnoff this time
