    Suzuki tire pressure

    Hey guys what tire pressure would you recommend for a Suzuki csx 250 2002 cheers (forgot to ask the dealer and don’t really want to go back and ask feel like an idiot lol)

    They give you a manual when you bought it? Or is there a sticker on the swingarm with it written on?

    The manual says 34psi front and 38 rear, you'll want to raise the rear to about 42 with a pillion.

    It was second hand and they did not have the Manuel but I will guess I will just have to call up or have a look to see if its on the bike

    No manual sucks - when I've sold bikes even older than 20 years I was still able to supply the new owner with the original manual. When yours was 2002 I was sure you'd have that supplied.

    34 and 38 psi mentioned sounds cool for a bike that weight (my VFR is 36 and 42).

    yeah the sticker is there will call up the bike shop on monday to see if they had any luck finding it said they where pretty sure it did not have one but would check

    You didn't get Manuel with you bike? Must be cos it wasn't a spanish import.

    Hmm checked the sticker sadly its not in PSI, its in something else KG/cm or something only had a glace though oh well no biggy either call the dealer or contact Suzuki and get a manual

    if its flat put more in... if it pops you've put in too much (no pun intended)

    Roki, you don't listen do you?

    The sticker says 2.0 kg/cm front and 2.25 rear don't it? how do I know? I've got one.

    Guess what that converts to in psi.... refer previous post???? 34 & 38.

    Oh, and the manual won't help you cause it's in kg/cm too........ got one of them too!

    Don’t worry I am an idiot have figured out the conversion on my on and just realised it was on the pump at the station anyways. Anyways probably will contact Suzuki to get a manual from them. Hmm any way on an unrelated note, what fuel would you recommend at the moment just using 91 like the dealer said but do they tend to like 96 more or run better (I know most jap cars love the higher octane fuels). Also any oil you recommend for them, last but not least any particular brand of chain oil and cleaner?

    I usually use 96 although 91 is fine. You probably won't notice any power difference as the bike's so gutless anyway, but you will get better economy and therefore further range out of the 96. Never bothered working out if it was cheaper to run the 96 or not, if you do, let me know.

    Dunno about oil, my bike's under warrenty until July 06 so have had to have the dealer service it. Just ask your local bike shop, I wouldn't splash out on anything too flash as it's not a high performance engine and you're probably not planning on holding on to it for too long.

    Use whatever chain oil/wax you like, they all do much the same job. When I first started I was pretty slack with oiling the chain and just used normal motor oil. Chewed thru that chain in 12000 km's so don't recommend it. As for cleaning, use kerosene. Don't use petrol as it will eat the rubber O-rings.

    cheers mate prob want to take good care of it sort of wanna keep it untill i get my full then i can splash out on somthing a bit bigger and with shaft drive never have liked cleaning chains on my old push bikes and would rather not have to put up with it for the rest of my cycleing days (hopfully which will be very very long)
