Summer. Sigh. Shoulder healed. Still no bike. Sigh.

Thanks everybody for the ride tonight. Another relaxing and enjoyable cruise.
Interesting to see so many cops out tonight. Helen must be cracking the whip on her money gatherers, perhaps another boatload of refugees are about to land!

Was nice to see the cops being courteous to us bikers and giving us priority through the traffic tonight.

Man, was it freezing tonight! Will have to pull out the neckwarmer and jacket inner next week.

Nah, it's WOF'd alright for another few weeks so if I'm quick I can rego it. Not that it matters, I'll happily run no reg (tax) but got to have a WOF (safety).

I don't think some of them bath regularly. That's how they've picked up the label 'go like stink'
It appears we have ghosts in the machine. The 'Others' are eavesdropping.

My source tells me the lurkers got the learn tonight. Difference between us and them is that we're manly enough to show ourselves. Come out come out, wherever you are. And have a shave - we don't like fuzz around here. The lurkers had better bring out the A game next time if they want to play in our sandpit.

Has anybody else been thinking about doing a special thursday night - cannonball run theme evening? Maybe next thursday???

So I hear - The others are indeed eavesdropping. It doesn't matter though.... coz the others are way too slow.
Maybe the others should fight fire with fire...... hint hint!

    Introducing: The A Game!

Also, They may need to hire some decent bikers, coz I can't help but notice how out of shape and old all the bike cops are.
Perhaps they could hire a few KB'ers to do the job properly Would save Helen alot of money not having to pay for split leather trousers all the time.
Lurkers: Please post all motorcycle officer job vacancies under the Newbie section.

I guess they have to even up the odds somehow. The radio didn't do a fat lot of good. And cars aren't worth the time of day to a bike... But in all seriousness, you can't have a cop chasing you on that thing. Imagine the public outcry when word got out the fuzz were pulling 280k chasing a biker down a public road... And let's face it, that's what they'd need to be doing against another thou on the open road. I know if I was being chased by one I'd be tapped out bloody everywhere waiting for them to off it.

Helicopters are the only hope they've got. That and luck (i.e. the rider offs it, the rider gets spiked, someone gets the plate or the bike gets seen parking up). None of the last four happen often in my experience, contrary to what the lurkers publicly say. And Wgtn's population and geography doesn't support a helicopter, so it's still open seasion

    Yes, a very interesting night.

Yes our friendly have learnt to use the internet, probably a good idea from now if we don't post routes on the forum, given it is public and accessable to anyone.

Either that or I need a faster bike, and bags not riding at the back anymore!!!!!

Oh well at least Im not walking home tonight, and our next ride could be to court at least they wont need to look far this time.

I reckon we send you Cam up the hill first 20min ahead of us. Stick Dreamer at the back for a gentle ride up the hill making that bike of her's so wide no fuzz can get past, and the rest do what they friggin like!

Either that or attack another place next week. I vote for central lower hutt. Plenty of mobile chicanes, excellent lanesplitting opportunities and tons of innocent pedestrians to break our bikes fall if we cock up. Or alternatively we could just continue enjoying a buzz on a road with less traffic and less chance to harming anyone but ourselves. I don't know, just a random thought.

I'm off to bed now. Gonna make sure I eat my wheaties next time so that I've got the energy to come out next week - looks like I missed a cracker!
