Wow - you're the first person I know who can tell how well a car handles by looking at a picture of it

I smell squid, the tin top variety. The ability to acquire a vehicle such as this, does not equate to an ability to drive one.
Sad, like the beautiful Lambo that some shite head trashed in Parnell no that long ago. Damn shame, those GT40's are a peice of bloody artwork.

Who's the best local GT40 replica manufacturer??

I've seen a few DRB replicas http://www.drbsportscars.com/ and they look great from a laymans perspective - don't know from a mechanic's eye.

Me too,but like the Lotus 7 it's been copied hundreds of times, there are atleast a couple of very good Cobra kits made right here in NZ...but the GT40 has had very few copies made,it's just a bit more sacred...like some band doing a cover version of Stairway to Heaven or Smoke on the Water...it's just not done in polite society.

Jeremy had to get a "new" GT coz he couldnt fit in the original!
Got the episode where he had to let Noel Edmonds cane his GT40 around the place - big smoky crossed up power slides - the works - and all JC could do was look on in frustration........
