Worse hearing how farkwits are getting "off" serious or any crimes due to that claim.
P does not "make you" doing anything of the sort. It is a concious(sp) decision of an individual to do these crimes therefore they should be delt to fully. In no way do I advocate the use of meth either before someone gets at me...it's a crap drug and a total waste of money.
Pity some haven't seen the Light and scored a bike for their rush of choice

PS: I know what you were meaning WRT
Perhaps such a claim should automatically add 3 years to your sentence

It's the whole personal responsibility thing again. NZ lacks it in droves. Almost no one is prepared to stand up and admit they cocked up and now it's time for the punishment. It couldn't have been his fault that he turned into such a loser, which lead to him smoking up, which then led to him doing this dispicable crime, which has now led to him wasting a whole f***ing truckload of our taxes for the foreseeable future.

Short of a set up, there's no way I'll ever be in that situation. I just don't do drugs. Full-stop. But as it's a distinct possibility that I'll one day be in court explaining my riding, I think I've got my defense sussed:

I'm an only child. My parent's spoilt me. But they were never emotionally affectionate enough. So when I turned 12 I started watching hardcore p*** to gain the emotional support that I couldn't get from parents or siblings. I could no longer differentiate between reality and those movies. I thought all guys had 10inch knobs that were rock hard all the time. So when I looked in my own pants, I felt emotionally deflated. I never recovered from this traumatic ordeal in my upbringing, so later in life I bought a really fast motorbike to make up for my deflated emotions. And it did. I rode it really really fast and it made me feel like my average sized penis didn't matter and that all the girlies who saw me wanted to rip my leathers off and bang me senseless cos I had such a cool bike. One day I got chased by some cops for riding it really really fast. But when I fell off and got caught, there were no hot chick cops who wanted to suck me off on the roadside while they waited for the ambulance. And the gruff old sargeant put the baton in when I suggested the hot ambo chick get her tits out. The middle aged overweight nurses in hospital weren't too impressed either when I whipped it out in the middle of the specialist examination. And the older male specialist looking at my broken leg didn't seem too interested in tag teaming the nurses with the young male cop who was guarding me. So when I get to court, your honour, I'm disgusted to find that my rights have been violated here and my expectations were not met. You are judging me as an adult, which is completely unfair, because I've never been able to get past my childhood neglect. I don't believe a jail sentence is at all appropriate for the pedestrian I killed, because my mummy didn't cuddle me enough. Instead my mummy should be on trial here!

And while I'm in prison, I'm suing Vivid Video.

But it was only a tree..........but because of it's PC nature it gets blown out.....Property Developers often do naughties, not saying it's right......sorry but there are a lot more important issues to worry about than some arrogant toff cutting a tree down.....

I now I will get some jip for saying "it's only a tree" but yes you have guessed it I am a POM, lovley jubbly tree but I just put things in perspective I guess.

Now I don't condone cutting down historic trees unless there's extenuating circumstances, but you'd think it's a slightly less bad crime than kidnapping a woman, holding her for 24 hours, and raping her in the forest :spudwhat: .

How can we say we even have a justice system if we let things like this happen?
I have no problem with him getting PD...

    Penile Detachment

But - getting serious on the topic. it's BS. The guys needs his nuts cut off and crushed, a lobotomy and time at Her Magesty's place of suffering in Mount Eden.

    I agree.

Cutting down an old tree isn't a good thing either, but stuffing up this woman's chances of a sane future is leaves me short of words... and those that know me will attest - that's quite a feet

Yep, it was only a tree, but I guess it goes to respect for the law.

"your honour - I feel really bad about running over and killing that family... I was drunk you see, and well - surely that makes it better somehow?"

make it a Tui ad (actually there's an idea....) "You plead guilty to kidnap and rape? PD sounds like a fair punishment! YEAH RIGHT!"

Thats quite the imagination there madboy, you've been planing that for some time havn't you

It seems that the only people that get the full from the justice system are the ones that can put them selves into a minority, like fishslayer was saying, "i'm a normaly adjusted person that made a bad choice or something happened out of my hands please put the book up my ass", but if i was poor, had a drinking and/or drug problem or mental problem eg i got drunk and slept with a 13yr old because im depressed, then it's and advatage when i decide to break the law. what a load of bull shit

Tui ads would be great, "Sleeping with a 12yr old is ok because i was depresed", "Kidnap and Rape are ok if you get high first", "Lets have another to celebrate my drunk driving!"

Not sure but surely one day soon the courts might get an education on drugs and there actual effects including alcohol.
Also agree with the comments about the Maori activist(with a honky name) that cut the tree down on None Tree Hill. Sick of the government and other bodies, including education, having one rule for one and another for the rest.
I thought we were all Kiwi's...silly me :spudwhat:

No, I really think it does. You might be under the impression that what you decide to do is done at a conscious level, but actually miniscule quantities of certain chemicals affect what goes on in your brain so enormously that outside of a certain narrow band you really don't have much choice about things.

I'm saying this mainly because there are so many chemical inbalance things (lack of food in particular) that turn me into an obnoxious and/or useless bastard. And look at what a few microgrammes of acid can do to you ... not speaking from experience.

So, should P users be let off the hook for what they've done while under the influence? No. Shit no. They should be nailed to the cross and put on public display for anyone else who is thinking of taking P. This guy in Napier, or wherever it was, being a fine example. Lock the cunt up for ever. But the police should be paying more damn attention to finding and destroying P labs - and if some civil liberties go in the process, well, so be it. Of course, it goes without saying that this may mean fewer officers on taxation patrol...

But you make the choice to take the bloody stuff in the first place-all things that happen as a direct result of you taking "P" are a direct result of the choice you made in the first place.
