    Hindu Tradition

Hehe..... this is funny and it was sent by an Indian so it must be true!!

FINALLY SOMEONE HAS CLEARED THIS UP . .

For centuries, Hindu women have worn a spot on their foreheads.

We have always naively thought that it had something to do with their religion.

The true story has recently been revealed by the Indian Embassy here in Auckland.

When one of these women gets married, she brings with her, a dowry.

On her wedding night, the husband scratches off the spot to see if he has won either a Dairy, a Shell Service Station, a Lotto outlet, a Fruit Shop or an Indian Takeaway.

Actually the spot means that the woman is married. Just like a wedding band in the Christian religion. It's usually a red spot, or a smaller black spot.

Other women who wear more ornamental stuff do so for fashion reasons and they may not be married.

It's funny - but in India we don't have any "Dairys". We just call them stores. Never ever heard of the word before I came here.

When I first came here and people asked me if my parents owned a Dairy (as the stereotype goes).... I said, "No, my parents aren't farmers". Cos when you think of NZ Industry and the word "Dairy" you think of cattle farming.......

Those Dairy owners sure are funny bastards, but I guess they laugh at us all the way to the bank, most earn around 5-10+K a week - YEAH a week, buying stuff cheap at Gilmores and selling it to us at twice or thrice the price......... bloody shitty job though.....

It's just one of those days, where you don't wanna wake up,
    everything is fucked, everybody sucks,
You don't really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off
