    Classic Bike Racing

Just a reminder to all Bikers that the Pukekohe Classic Race Meeting is on Friday 10th thru to Sunday 12th Feb.

See some great racing, and some awesome machinery.

    Absolutely - History.
I'll be wandering around with my Kiwi Rider kit on, camera in hand. Mostly on Sunday. Throw yourselfs in front of the lens.

Motomail are sponsoring the side cars and Cathie (orange 636) is going to have a swing on the Vincent special.
there are a few teams being brought over from the UK - but the budgets didn't run to passengers - so some of the locals have been recruited for the gig.

It's a great, friendly, relaxed, wander about the pits, see some stars, talk to anyone - weekend.

Huh! - The good old days.

Yep they may not be as fast as modern bikes, but still entertaining. Hope a few KBers make the effort to go and check it out. I'll be heading out there either Saturday or Sunday.

What's the entry price going to be this time.
I didn't go last year because I felt totaly ripped off the year before.
I see $25 advertised for the weekend pass.
I hope they don't try to take the same price for one day like they did last time I went.

I'll be there (case of having to when you get free tickets) But I'd rather miss Paeroa than the classics, just so much fine machinery you can see rather than hidden behind shiny plastic.Classic sidecars are a must see for me.Look out for Ian Cotteral's Blackadder,it used to be mine.

Hard to beleive that 25 years ago Ian and I tried to race our classic chairs at this meeting and they wouldn't let us,they wanted 3 bikes in the field just to let us do a few demo laps...oh how times change eh?
