It was a good turnout today, I counted 18 bikes but someone said there were 23 at one point? Thanks goes to Qkchk & 2Much for the organisation. Hope you all got home safe n sound!

Was great to be a part of the ride, would've loved to have ridden thru the forrest/Opo/Kaikohe again but time sorta overcame us...i know we need to reduce our frequency of stops!

Just loved the back roads that the northerners showed us from Paparoa all the way thru to Dargaville, and that last 20-30 kms before Darg was a great pace! Coming back home along the Ruawai straights was quite disappointing in comparison.

Clocked up a measly 500kms today, could have and should have done more...but there will be a next time, and looking forward to it.

Yes there were 18 bikes at the peak at Paparoa , 13 made it to lunch at Dargaville down to 7 went through the forest.
We all agree about too many stops and talked about solutions to that last night. Should have it sussed next time, and that road was just a small taste of whats on offer up here.

Thanks for a good ride everyone, it was nice to meet u everyone!!!

I have to apologise for being the tail rider all day long, like I've explain to a few of you, I've only had this bike for a week, this was Leigh's very first ride and she's also only been on the back of a bike for about a week. On top of all of that I haven't been riding for 3 years and was extremely rusty

All and all nice people, the roads were great and the weather was good!!!!
Isn't it funny how: (1)Everyone going faster than u are maniacs (2)Everyone going your speed are sane (3)Everyone slower than you are nanas

Well, after 1142km's we finally crawled home at 1245 last night, almost 18 hours on the road!

Had an awesome day and thanks to all involved. Was very impressed with the roads up north and must say that those who went home at dargaville (pussies!) definately missed out on the best roads.

Cheers to Qkchk & custard, and very sorry you couldn't carry on with us further . Hope we'll be able to catch up for another ride soon.

Big thanks goes out to Chris, Annette and the rest of the Whangarei crew. Was awesome meeting you all, thanks for the great hospitality and it was a great day.

After leaving you guys we shot back to auckland. Got to LooseBruce's Hell Pizza at 9, unfortunately everyone had cleared off by then but we sat down for a feed and yarned with LB for about an hour. After a couple of Redbulls we jumped back on made the long (& cold ) trip home. Bed felt fucken good!

Was good to meet ya LB, hopefully catch up for a ride sometime.

If you haven't sampled the northern roads, get your arse up there. Talk really nicely to the Northern team and hopefully they'll show you around their playground. I promise, you won't be disappointed!
Oh! and gas prices suck but beer's only $4 a quart!

Thanks again to all involved and all who showed up to make it such a great day! So, when we doing the next one???
It's just one of those days, where you don't wanna wake up,
    everything is fucked, everybody sucks,
You don't really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off

Firstly a big thanks to all, awesome ride!
Between the crash on sunday and the k's we did yesterday, one can safely asume I am pretty sore....
I hope there are some slower riders up your way for next time we are there, so Mark can play with you nutters and i can cruise with the slightly less insane . Will definatly have to make it an overnighter though...

Loose bruce, cheers for the redbulls mate, dare say they made a huge difference.

Thanks to all for the awesome hospitality, it made for a wicked day.

    Cheers, Olivia

I'm pretty much a cruiser most the time, and am happy to ride at a more leasurely pace, gets a bit much trying to keep up with the others sometimes although my bikes got the grunt in a straight line I like to play with, but get to the real stuff and I'm rather cautious Always welcome and much much more to experience up here

Ok ok...skooling up here is average at best mate.
Can't count past 30 so ya know...just gas up and ride baby.

Also to a couple of others...it doesn't matter or concern us in the slightest on how "slow" you ride as long as you're having fun and are safe. Plenty of slower riders up these ways!! Ever met John?
Oh my bad...at least you came for a ride!
Oh yeah,we don't ride fast anyway....it's the scenery that's blasting past
