Built for speed, not for comfort

Please note. No hurry. I feel bad if you are spending too much time doing this. It has taken me 3 years to get back on track looking for the pictures. Yes I am keen to get some but not at the expense of your down time. Many thanks for looking. No hurry...Hope some turn up...Originally Posted by LB

I've found some pics, there may be more.
What year gixxer am I looking for? It seems I only have 1997 pictures of the Cemetery, did he race there that year?
So far I've only found one gixxer where the pic is any good, but I'm pretty sure its an 1100 and its doing stunts between races. Yellow tank and wheels and a pink tail piece.
I've got a good pic of a number 56 but its a sky blue and I'm pretty sure its a CBR. Probably a 250.
Unfortunately most of the other pics I have are either of the BEARS or of chicks in short skirts. You weren't looking for a number 10?![]()
Skirt pics please.....

Hi Shadmeister. Thanks for looking but it would be the 96 cemetery circuit and 97 Paeroa. The bike is a 96-97 GSX-R 750 V. Currently in Red Black and silver. I do not know what colours it was raced in. Hope to find out on Sunday. So I think you have the wrong year. But thanks for taking the time to look.Originally Posted by Shadmeister

You can't fight sleep.. if you feel tired, stop and rest!

This is the same bike 10 years later. 71500km on it and never even had the tappet cover off.Originally Posted by DemonWolf

No Gav. It is a Zuki and they just keep going and going and going. From all the service records and talking to Craig it is as it was from new. Rekitted the carb and put on a different can and raced. Then took the can off and put the original on and sold it to the road. And it is still going strong. Uses no oil between changes. Race plastics were fitted for racing.Originally Posted by gav

Am I that predictable??Originally Posted by Gixxer 4 ever
I remember seeing this bike racing back then and it was the horniest sounding one there....honestly it had an exhaust note that nearly made me crack a fat and nearly switched my mate from Kwakas to Suzooks.
Didnt think I would see it again, and didnt know who the rider was but now I do it sorta explains everything.
Had to be Craig Shirriffs tho, stuff legends are made of![]()

Great. I ask Craig what he thought of the bike at the time. His answer was, it scarred the shit outa him. But he qualified that by saying he was only 21 at the time. I can vouch for the power over 7k. It is hard to ride up at the higher end cos it is all or none. Touch the gas and hang on. Not so great from 7k and down.Originally Posted by Kornholio
Never say never. Special when a zuki is involved.Originally Posted by Kornholio
We recon he is a great rider and if you saw him ride this year you would agree he is on his game. Yep he dropped the 1000 but he rode the wheels off da 600.Originally Posted by Kornholio
There must be a lot of bikes that have been raced and are now on the road. Anyone else got the history of a bike that started on the track and now a road bike:spudwhat:
Hey dude, its only taken a month to find pic and get a scanner but here it isOriginally Posted by jazbug5
