    Incidentally, it can be passed from a colour-blind or carrier mother to a daughter also. Women can be genetically colour-blind, it's just the chances are a lot lower due to the gene being recessive.

    Or download Open Office from www.openoffice.org, and sidestep the Microsoft Hegemony. Open Office does everything Microsoft Office does, opens all the files you can think of created by MS Office applications and it's free.

    Gratis.
