Good luck Steve. I will be there spectating as my 05 R6 is not yet ready for racing. I raced Paeroa on an NSR250 years ago. First and only time on a street circuit. It is awesome fun and actually not scary as it is watching...
"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "

Cheers, see you there.
yeah agree with that last sentence. didn't see how "scary" it was untill after i finished racing and went down to the first corner for a bit of a look at wangas last year.Originally Posted by Cleve Brown
Will see all you guys there.
Its the best street track in the country!
BLOODY INTENSE!!!!
No time for rest, Front wheel coming up, then back wheel coming up while trying to turn for a hairpin, then a kink in the main straight!! Rising then falling, sliding and leaning!!
YOU GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!
Only rained 3times in the whole time the Paeroa street race has been running. I like them odds!
Motorcycing is not a hobby, It is a way of life!
Missed forever! NEVER FORGOTTEN!!

Well I survived my first time at Paeroa. Big thanks to Shaun Harris for taking the time for a couple of laps in his van to get me pointed in the right direction on Saturday, and thanks to Motoracer, your write up was right on. I crashed once in practice and finnished 13th, and 14th. I hope to do a bit more of a detailed write up later.
It was awesome fun.........
