Westgate to Wellsford is almost exactly 80km... maybe 80.3km to be pedantic. Because this route is slightly shorter than the Kaiaua route, this is why we moved the start time to 30min later.

Speed is NOT an issue, this day is for learners, and we don't want them to feel under any pressure at all to keep up, as this is where accidents happen.

Usually leaders will run their groups, if they are dropping off, you slow down to bunch them up. At the stops, you can reflect and adjust your communications accordingly. For example, last ride, my first learner was worried about being so close behind (wasn't close), so he hung back, I kept slowing to bunch them...

Instructors can offer their advice at the stops as well.

Because the enrolled list never matches what happens on the day, we'll have to do groups on the day.

Each time I've done this trip, I seem to take a different route.
I'll go tail end as when I lead the last time I missed a very embrassing corner and had many people laughing

Not my fault I like to add an extra 20K's on and have a twisty trip

But Should be there and will try and bring a few other non FB riders
