    Feb 5 Endurance Ride Coro*2

    Hi there,

I'm planning on going for a slightly longer ride to practice for the Grand Challenge. I plan on doing the Kopu Mobil to Kopu Mobil part of the Coro Loop twice.

    Sunday 5th Feb

    Meet at Autobahn Papakura

    At 10:30am depart 11am.

Reach Kopu Mobil around 12 - 12:30 pm

There will be minimal stops and the pace will be around the medium mark. The second loop and the last parts of the ride back to Auckland may in the dark depending on how long it takes.

I have timed the ride based on previous experience as follows.

Autobahn to Kopu Mobil - 1 to 1 and a half hours.
    Planned Arrival - 12:15-12:30 pm

    Lunch: 12:30 - 1pm.

Kopu Mobil to Kopu Mobil - non-stop with 1 fuel break - 2 hrs 10 mins to 2 hrs 30 mins in very heavy traffic. Some amount of lane splitting and filtering will be required and expected.
    Planned Arrival - 3:30pm

Second Loop in the reverse direction to the first loop

Kopu Mobil - Kopu Mobil again non-stop, stopping for fuel as required.
    Planned Arrival - 6:30pm

Depart Kopu Mobil back via Miranda, Hunuas, etc and arrival back to Auckland around 8-9pm taking it fairly easy.

I have a target time of 8-8.5 hours for the entire ride. Please note part of the ride may be in the dark.

Anyone up to the challenge is invited.

Good Start JSG. Riding down to Gisborne to the One Night Stand via Tauranga from Whangarei that WE and return (400km to Tauranga, 300km TGA to Gisborne, so that's 1400km just to get there and back) so will not be able to join you.

haven't been hiding... but flying around I have been on back of a hornet. Sounds like u too heavy for the CBR

how are you going to ride around coro bouncing like that? will see what I feel like... might come chase you on the hornet.

I don't mind the bouncing, keeps me awake....... horribly wallowy in the corners though......

Be good to have some company looks like all the other regulars are too busy.

Lets see how much maintenance I can get done on Sat.
