    New job

Well, after four years away (and the last four months in purgatory @ Fairfax) I've finally got back into advertising/design.

I start my new job on Monday working as the Studio Manager for AIM/Proximity (part of Clemenger BBDO) in town, working in Kent Terrace.

Interesting challenging work, great clients and huuuuge budgets - should be fun.

I'll be looking for a place to park the RF during the day.

What's available on Kent Terrace? I know there's parks outside WMCC, but are they cool about having bikes parked there all day?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I think they'd prefer "customer" parking, might not want any upper hutt boys parking their old dungers outside. I'm glad Featherston St is too far away so you don't pinch my park.

But seriously, congrats on the new job. Hope it goes well.

Nice - but it's a gig that deserves better than arriving on an old RF.
    Say 'Sprint ST' 5 times.

That is a public Motorbike Park so you can use it. (Well it was last time I used it) BUT, it turns into a Clearway at 4pm, so if you don't move your bike by then youll get a ticket / towed.

I'm too fat for a Sprint.

However, I'm lusting after that nice Red Daytona 955i in the window at WMCC.

Give me a couple of years until the kids get a bit older and then we'll retire the RF...

Say 'Jenny Craig' six times then. seriously. if you've realised it.
    I was the same.
I jumped on the scales yesterday and I was 109.8kg.
    A bit over 2 years ago i was 159.9kg
I can now legitimately say OVER 50kg.

Top 3 in the best things i have ever done list. And it's not hard.

I'm gonna go another 5 too.

Oh well, at 100kgs I don't feel so bad.

But then again, I'm only 178cm tall (5 foot 10.5)...

These guys are really helpful. Ring up and they'll tell you the closest park.

    Thanks Ken.

I must admit, I was really impressed with the quality of work these guys do, and the variety of work and the big challenges really appealed.

Speaking of big challenges, how's the Streettracker going? I'm hanging out for the next instalment ...

Good stuff dude, nice to hear Upper Huttians going strong.

I'm also interested in the advertising/design thing too, seeing as that's sort of the direction I want to head in after school. Care to drop advice?

Go for it. I do alright freelancing.

Parsons Bookshop have numerous beautiful text books on advertising design.
http://www.taschen.com also publish a range of design titles that I still refer to.
