What Rides Organised Nt Isld central up?

Havent been on for a while so not sure if Im hijacking an already existing threat, If I am, my apologies
Just come off the Gixxer ride last weekend with the Northern crew. Its that time of the year for lots of riding and would be nice to know what's planned where, anywhere central Nth Island through to Far North. 2Much proved the other day this whole area can be done in a day So makes one realise what can be achieved in a whole weekend.
So anyone out there who's looking to get a few like minded people together post your thoughts, lets see who's been thinking, "But they should try my usual ride" What ya got out there people??

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

To prepare for the GrandChallenge I'd like to do a 1000k in a day ride. Think you'd be up for that - or could you recommend any roads?

If you want to trip around the central North Island get hold of Zagy & Trumpy.
Great guys & know the roads around Taupo etc. Zagy is always up for a ride.

Ok from my house (east auckers) To do the coro loop is about 450km.....

Then last weekend (from my house again) to where i stopped and going the slightly "quicker" way home was 485km....

So If we add the forest etc and take out going to east auckland.... You'll probably be looking at 1100-1200km

A little long for a day unless you set a decent pace with minimal stops...

    Another few routes would be:

    1) up north somewhere don't really know the roads but say way way up north ...

    2) Do the coro loop with a detour to waihi (excellent road) and stuff... I'll probably be looking at about 650kmish but you people from up north are probably a bit more than that??

Would be keen to do the coro loop noprth island stint... even if we made it a 2 day event??

And who are we to argue with you and yours We did 486ks in the end yesterday, oh, and three pubs lunch five sides of the road, three service stations :slap: and a late-ish start. We thought of a bigger northern loop last night but I think you Akld south guys should come up the night before then go for one big day of riding, yee ha
