This here's Gixxer country, son. Where on a quiet day, you can hear the Fireblades rusting.

Meanwhile the SP-1's and CBR600's are kicking ass.

I had a great time on Monday except for the rain and subsequent cold.

As far as the crashes go, the more bikers, the more competitive people seem to get. I think it has something to do with proving yourself to people you don't really know. It doesn't seem to happen to the same extent when you ride with a few mates.

As far as our little group went after splitting up at Martinborough (Gixxer Dave, Phil Elvey and Byron - and Yo and Hayden until Gladstone), we pretty much were in formation all the way from Martinborough to Masterton, nicely spaced with no one trying to outdo each other - surprise surprise, none of us binned it.

Despite the pep talk at the start, some people will always let the adrenalin get the better of them - Jimmy, don't feel bad at all - you are not responsible for the way others ride - and well done on such a HUGE turnout.

Im certainly keen for some more.

    Thanks for that, Dean.

Not a bad wheelie to finnish off the day either, if I may say so myself.

Definitely, I kept watching in the mirror and was mightily impressed.

    Which accident?

    We should run a poll:

Which bike actually looked better after the accident?
