    Thoughts on Jackets

hey guys, i'm going to be gearing up soon for the upcoming bike and i notice a few guys on trademe selling some (visually anyway) quite good looking jackets. the price seems pretty good.

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...n-47510879.htm

was wondering if anybody knows much about stuff like this? what to look for?

for example, what would be a minimum leather thickness?
armour for elbows, shoulders, back, kidney area etc?

what should i be looking for and do these jackets stack up?

My advice would be don't buy a coloured jacket.

I've just got a new bike and my ex informs me that my green, white, and black jacket now doesn't match my new bike (despite it being a green kawa).
