Yep, and there is a good reason I carry my blue license on me when I have my green one hidden

I ride about 9 out of 10 days. I'm in a suit-ish sort of environment so I keep clothes and shoes at work and get changed once I am here. Bit of a hassel but no one is any the wiser - expect for the odd case of helmet hair. Still the blue-rinse hides that pretty much.

I ride all the time. The last time I willingly took the car there was snow on the ground.

I know, sorry. Yeah I'm on my learners, and yeah I don't especially want to get done outside my licence conditions. But don't you think I've thought about it, and know full well what I'm doing?

Look, I guess what I'm trying to say is: Please don't belittle me. Sure, I may be a newbie rider, but I'm not stupid. There's plenty of advice I could use on how to improve my riding, no doubt about it, but I don't want to be treated like a moron or like a child. I'd rather be treated as an equal, a mate. You can help to improve my riding by giving riding advice, riding with me, showing me the right way to do things and maybe even the wrong way, and have me learn from that, rather than wag your finger at me for doing something I've already made the choice to do on the full knowledge that it's not quite right.

Please don't take this as offensive or as a personal shot... and I suppose I'm partly to blame for misinterpreting your posts - they sometimes lack the little signs that you're just giving friendly advice or taking the piss.

    Anyway.... blatantly

Soapbox house of cards and glass, so don't go tossing your stones around.
You musta been.... high. You musta been...

I own a car and a bike, and actually love driving either. The bike was bought as a toy and remains that. I live close to work so I usually bus there and run home. Other than that I'm always carting sports gear, other people (I have to stop being every ones bloody taxi) and the dog (shes ok) round; so more often than not I take the car over the bike.
Try and get out every weekend for a long joy ride on the bike, but at the mo, thats about all the leg over I get.

Only own a bike so 7 days a week........ hate commuting........ what a waste of tyres....... if only I didn't have to go to work.....

Plan to buy a car soon and use that to commute (5ks) and carry my gym gear.
